EPSG:26191 is the Merchich North reference system for geodetic and topographic data in northern Morocco. It is common in legacy Moroccan mapping projects.
Use this code for historical road plans and surveys produced in the first Merchich zone. Reproject the data before combining it with modern WGS84 or newer Moroccan datasets.
The zone matters: interpreting Merchich North as Merchich South can shift a dataset by hundreds of kilometres. Check the zone and units before exporting.
